Last night I asked hubs if he knew what tomorrow was. He said “yeah, it’s Saturday”. I gave him a snarky look and he just quietly said “yeah, I know…”.
Nothing else was said.
Today at lunch, You’ve Got a Friend in Me played over the radio. We talked a little bit about how Bub loved Toy Story 2 and watched it over and over again.
At home, in clinic, in the hospital. It didn’t matter.
If we were watching it at home, he would act out the opening. He ran up and down the hall and rolled around on the floor..super animated. Hilarious!
So it was very sweet to hear that song today, as this would have been his 14th birthday.
Happy birthday to you, sweet one. We love you to infinity and beyond.

Dear Kay, my eyes sting from reading this, because I know how that conversation with the husband goes. I celebrate your beautiful Bub's birthday with you - you, who carried him and knew him from the VERY beginning, who gave him birth and are his mom forEVER...Dawn said it perfectly.
